Acclaimed vocalist Tyrone Noonan, didgeridoo legend William Barton and virtuoso guitarist Anthony Garcia have joined forces to create Soniclines , a haunting, seductive and uplifting response to our collective yearning for freedom and spiritual union.

Born from a chance encounter at New York’s Hotel Chelsea, the group draws on rich cultural and indigenous roots spanning Australia, Mexico and Irel and. This rare fusion of creative talent is evident on the band’s debut self – titled album, where boundless music weaves a tapestry of intricate guitar lines through to cascading vocal melodies and masterful didgeridoo.

Socially conscious, experimental and improvisatory, the group’s ornate virtuosity is supported by driving electric guitar riffs, trance – like synth layers and freestyle didge that build a lush electro – acoustic soundscape juxtaposed by earthy folk songs and poetic lyricism exploring themes of love, loss and redemption.

Soniclines, featuring multiple ARIA award winners, will lead you on a musical journey through the gamut of human emotion for one night only at the Brisbane Powerhouse to launch their debut self – titled album with a full band in cluding Brendan Watterson on bass, Aaron Jansz on drums and Nick O’Brien on banjo.

Tyrone Noonan: “Life is wonderful and surreal at times. I would never have imagined that I would reconnect with the guitarist I used to compete against in high school band comps in the foyer of New York’s Hotel Chelsea! After that we stayed in touch and fortuitously, at the time Anthony was researching connections between his mixed Mexican and Irish culture and the project blossomed from there; particularly with the additi on of our great friend and musical genius William Barton.

Anthony Garcia: “Ty and Will are amazing improvisers, experimenters and collaborators. Stepping into the studio with them will always be an incredible memory. I pinch myself that we created this album and that we are now sharing it with the world. Like many Aussies I have a mixed cultural heritage, and you often find it difficult to sense your ground; where you belong. Blending our unique cultural stories into a unified whole has generated a sound space where we can feel connected and celebrate Australia’s creative and cultural diversity.”
