Two free spirits of the OZ music scene unite for a very special concert, launching their new CD Desert Stars Dancing.

Experience the pulsating rhythms, soaring melodies and lush harmonies of the guitar and didgeridoo as the ethereal sounds of these timeless instruments dance to create a soundscape that knows no boundaries.

William Barton, one of Australia’s most celebrated didgeridoo players, and star of the 2008 Olympic opening ceremony, is a powerful advocate of the virtuosic potential of his instrument and the richness of his Australian Culture. Anthony Garcia fuses together a wide range of styles from the ancient to the contemporary, from the experimental music scene in New York to early music with the Australian Brandenburg Orchestra Garcia continues to explore the diversity of his instrument.

Special Guest Delmae Barton
A gifted artist, Aunty Delmae is a renowned singer and composer who has performed throughout Australia and Europe and more recently was invited to perform at the Vatican, Italy. Aunty Delmae’s strong spirit inspires her singing and she is a traditional Aboriginal song woman.

Aunty Delmae will join her son William, and Anthony making this performance something truly amazing.

Anthony will perform as a soloist and also with Internationally acclaimed violinist Niki Vasalakis at the 2010 Adelaide International Guitar Festival. The world premier of a five movement song cycle “Songs from the Divine WIlderness” will be performed by Niki and Anthony. While in Adelaide Anthony will be on the panel of judeges for the guitar competition, and also join Slava Grigoryan and other guitarists on the Sunday for a all in Jam!
